This coast was new
This is a story about migration, import food stores, and the many ways that
places we love can hurt us. How does a diaspora begin evaluating what has
been lost, how to conjure it up, and how to say goodbye? In the process of
healing from displacement, nothing is ever fully familiar and power
structures enforce ongoing loss over time. What solutions can one accept?
