The Night They Raided McMaster

Inspired by true events in 1969, on the campus of McMaster University, when
Ivan Reitman, Daniel Goldberg and John Hofsess; student filmmakers with
the McMaster Film Board, were charged with making and exhibiting an
"obscene" film called "The Columbus of Sex". The trial in 1970, led to the
only convictions in Canadian legal history for film obscenity; the role of
controversial art in a just society is examined through the specific lens
of Hamilton, Ontario.
